With over 20 years of experience in the coffee industry, Arturo has honed his craft, mastering selective picking and adopting best practices from farmers throughout the area.

Colombia’s unique geography, with coastlines along both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, combined with the high elevations of the Andes Mountains, creates ideal conditions for cultivating exceptional coffee varietals. The Nariño region, in particular, is celebrated for producing coffees with bright acidity, delightful sweetness, and intricate flavor profiles.

Arturo’s Pink Bourbon microlot exceeded all our expectations, so much so that we acquired the entire harvest. This coffee is a stunning example of Colombia’s diverse offerings and is so vibrant and complex that it could easily be mistaken for an Ethiopian varietal.

Why We’re Excited: Pink Bourbon varietals are celebrated for their clean, juicy, and complex profiles, and this coffee is no exception. Grown at an exceptionally high altitude, it achieves a perfect balance of bright acidity and natural sweetness. When ground, its floral aromas evoke the sensation of strolling through a lush garden brimming with berries and stone fruits. From the first sip, vibrant notes of ripe apricot shine through, beautifully complemented by layers of lemon, lime, raspberries, and macerated strawberries—reminiscent of a refreshing rainbow sherbet.
